Intermediate Civil/Structural Engineer

Starting Date: ASAP

Salary: To be determined

Responsibilities:

• Providing civil/structural design and technical support including calculations, weld design, design drawing review, field investigations, and solutions for the construction or repair of industrial buildings, facilities, and services.
• Writing specifications and contract documents.
• Reviewing project documents prior to issue for scope and presentation, including checking for technical accuracy.
• Developing and maintaining positive, sustainable client relationships.
• Coordinating and working with project team members.

  Qualifications:

• Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Registered or ability to register as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in the province of Quebec.
• Broad scope knowledge of civil designs and an understanding of industry codes, standards, and construction methods.
• Material design experience, which may include experience in the use of structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and/or wood.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working on heavy industrial projects is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skill.
• Team-oriented and a creative thinker.
• Demonstrates cooperation and decision-making abilities.
• Working knowledge of STAAD Pro, S-Frame and AutoCAD and other structural engineering software and asset.
• Bilingual (French and English) spoken and written.
